PUMPTEX, INC is growing its Electrical Division and seeking an Electrical Helper / Apprentice to work under the direct supervision of a Licensed Electrician in the installation and repair of electrical systems within the petroleum equipment industry.

This position will report to our Central Texas branch located in Buda, Texas. Our Team Members earn a competitive wage based on experience and relevant licenses or certifications.

We believe in getting the job done to completion on the first visit and aim to have convenience stores, fueling facilities, and service stations back to pumping fuel as quickly as possible.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES :

  • Responding to a variety of projects and service calls
  • Following project scope of work to completion
  • Contributing to planning, organizing, and controlling resources of jobs (labor, tools, materials)
  • Following rules and guidelines of State and National Code
  • Following OSHA safety standards
  • Maintaining updated knowledge of current industry methods, materials, and standards
  • Communicating with our Team, Clients, and Subcontractors in person and over the phone
  • Ability to efficiently utilize resources and work within time constraints
  • Participating in training as required

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of electrical experience is required, industrial experience a plus
  • State of Texas Electrical Apprentice License is preferred
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a background screening and drug test

Schedule : Non-Exempt, Full-time, typically Monday-Friday, 8 : 00 am - 5 : 00 pm but there are times when demands of projects may require overtime or overnight travel.
