Mechanical Assembler / Heavy Assembler

Job Description :

• Perform mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly
• Assemble units that are moderately complex, requiring adjusting, fitting and aligning
• Read blueprints with mathematical specifications
• Inspect and test completed units

Requirements :

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a mechanical assembler / electro-mechanical assembler role
• Experience using overhead and jib cranes preferred
• Experience with machinery such as forklift, scissor lift and boom lift preferred
• Attention to detail and good organizational skills
• Must have basic computer skills
• Must be able to communicate effectively
• Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time, talk, stoop, hear, use fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls
• Ascending and descending stairs and / or ladders
• Ability to lift and / or move up to 30 pounds
• Work in spaces with noise up to 100dB (with company-provided ear protection)
• May be exposed to dust or other irritants and electrical / mechanical / power equipment / heat hazards
• Ability to use common hand tools (must possess personal tools)
