DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Essential Functions of the Job : Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties :

  • Successful coaching and teaching the manufacturing leadership and production teams.
  • Modeling personal and organizational leadership to engage teams in delivering an effective safety process, including Risk Assessments, Gemba walks, and successful 5S systems.
  • Observing all safety and security procedures and determining appropriate action beyond guidelines.
  • Driving continuous improvement of line operations while collaborating with other departments on consistent systems across the site.
  • Leading the sustainable improvement of product quality and customer service.
  • Knowledge of the trend in financial performance and the ensuring all monthly / annual financial targets are met.
  • Following, teaching and participating in root cause analysis problem solving in order to drive operational improvements across all Manufacturing Lines on the night shift.
  • Driving and improving reliability and quality performance through improving the utilization of Lean Manufacturing techniques including Kaizens, Visual Management, TPM and effective root cause analysis and countermeasure implementation.
  • Maintaining a high level of customer awareness throughout the value stream and focus on delivering material that meets requirements.
  • Driving dynamic coaching and goal setting to drive a bottom up support structure with effective labor relations and building partnerships at all levels of the organization.

Non-Essential Functions of the Job : The following duties are considered secondary to the essential duties listed above :

QUALIFICATIONS :

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related field is preferred.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

Lean or Six-Sigma certification

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES :

  • Experience and knowledge of Six-Sigma principles and Lean manufacturing
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a cross-functional team through a root cause analysis / problem-solving process
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple and ever-changing priorities and meet established deadlines
  • Demonstrated track record in driving continuous improvement and achieving goals
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
