Job Description

Bally Sports Southwest is looking for a Programming Coordinator to join the team! This position has critical responsibilities in the Programming department of Bally Sports Southwest.

  • Programming responsibilities include creating and maintaining the regional sports network programming schedule; communicating contingency plans;
  • managing market blackout schedules; managing music cue sheets; cultivating strong relationships with 3rd party suppliers;

weekly / daily communication with 3rd party suppliers to verify shows arrive on time and issue free; and serving as a liaison to internal departments, national programming office, Master Control, Nielsen, and TV listings services on a daily basis.

Essential Functions :

  • Program Schedule / Data Management - accurately input and maintain all program schedules into Wide Orbit Program, Excel, and Nielsen's E-Names databases.
  • Market Switching Schedules - ensure professional product is being distributed to the correct team territories
  • Contingency Planning - provide Master Control with contingency plans; ensure proper execution
  • Music Cue Sheets - ensure proper submission of internal and external cue sheets
  • Communication - effectively communicate programming information, changes, etc. to all internal departments, Master Control, Nielsen, TV listings services and 3rd party suppliers
  • 3rd party suppliers - serve as intermediary between media services and program suppliers when there are issues with shows
  • Research - Assist Programming Manager with ratings research and trends related to programming. Track program ratings to create summaries and reports for internal distribution

Education / Experience - This position requires a Bachelor's degree. 1-2 years of work experience and knowledge of Bally Sports Southwest regional-based professional teams is preferred.

Language / Communication - Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required. Must effectively communicate programming information, changes, etc.

to all internal departments, Master Control, Nielsen, and TV listings services.

Other Skills / Requirements - Superior attention to detail, strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize are needed.
