The Sales team at Placer collaborates with customers on’s key values, use cases and applicability that drive better and faster decisions.

We are the tip of the spear as it relates to establishing Placers brand and growth during a very exciting time in the company’s trajectory.

  • As a Sales Director, you will influence and lead a team of skilled Account Executives to achieve their individual sales quotas by assisting and guiding across highly transactional and involved sales campaigns ultimately executing contracts.
  • You will be able to measure, monitor and hold AE's accountable for their activities and results as well as lead by example.
  • You will mentor each AE individually while also building a strong cohesive, collaborative team. As a leader, you are responsible for monitoring forecasting efforts, customer satisfaction, and delivering on quota.
  • This position is a people manager role reporting into the VP Sales, US West.


  • Managing a team of Account Executives to grow the overall revenue of through attainment of monthly quotas.
  • Assess / inspect sales pipeline, activity and forecasts to determine sales progress and areas for refinement / improvement that align with leading indicators and meet key targets.
  • Devise account strategies : assist the team in developing and maintaining account plans / strategies / tactics to meet or exceed customer objectives and sales goals.
  • Influence and lead strategic planning efforts within the team to ensure key processes, expectations and selling methodologies are understood, adopted and implemented.
  • Performance management : creating a bench of qualified talent, and growing the team headcount as needed
  • Maintain proactive line of communication between the lines of business as well as senior leadership; includes developing and delivering accurate forecast and attainment details during weekly and quarterly business reviews and escalating key issues as appropriate.


  • 2-3+ years leadership experience managing tactical sales teams within software, ideally SaaS-based offerings
  • Expertise in product, technology, service, strategy and business complexities
  • Prior experience selling software, running complex sales cycles, in a quota-carrying role
  • Quota-attainment record of meeting and / or exceeding targets by managing process for identifying, qualifying, & closing new business as well as and not limited to growing an existing install base
  • Prior experience developing and maintaining business & sales plans
  • Prior experience negotiating & closing complex deals
  • Ability to drive strategic and tactical planning
  • Experience selling into and cultivating larger, strategic relationships
  • Track record of building, coaching and enabling a growing team
  • Strong experience with sales & selling tools : G-Suite, SFDC, Salesloft, ZoomInfo, etc.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills includes excellent reporting and forecasting skills. Attention to detail is critical
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced work environment
  • BA / BS or similar college-level education
  • Willingness to travel 15% or more as needed for conferences
