JOB SUMMARY :

Security Officers aid in the protection of persons and property for CARTI. This includes employees, CARTI guests, vendors and vendor companies.

CARTI Officers are not armed and have no non-lethal weapons. The Officer will be protecting staff at the facility and the vehicles in the parking lot.

This includes responses to calls for emergency assistance involving violence, loitering, suspicious activity in the parking lot, crime scene preservation, domestic disputes, fires, natural disasters, internal and external emergency situations, court testimony, and other issues.

Security Officers are to use the highest level of customer service while working on site. Security Officers will submit daily logs, and incident logs for any incident that may occur while on duty.

Provide assistance to local police responding on campus, along with fire and MEMS escorts. This positions hours will be 1300 until 2130 hrs.

Requirements

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, REGISTRATION :

1. 4 years total experience preferred

2. High school diploma or GED.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES :

1. Experience as follows :

a. 4 years of experience as a Security Officer preferred, or

b. 4 years in the Military, or

c. 2 years of Military Police, or

d. Full Time Law Enforcement Officer;

2. Customer Service is required, especially in stressful situations.

3. Must be able to observe and report all activities, and know who to contact for each event.
