Job Description:

Responsible for managing all aspects of a business’ geographically dispersed real estate portfolio to include; coordinating with client Corporate Real Estate (CRE) team to align Newmark with client’s long range business objectives. Manage Account Team members in support of the Global Corporate Services (GCS) contract requirements. Deliver services utilizing a professional and client-centric approach, using best practices and incorporating continuous improvement methods to ensure long term client retention. Ensure the profitability of the account while maintaining superior relationships with local, regional, and global partners.

Essential Job Duties:
  • Establish internal standards, policies, and procedures that will result in effective support of the account management requirements as well as reduced occupancy expense for the client.
  • Strong focus on real estate transaction/facility management operational process improvements across all regional account teams.
  • Work directly with client’s real estate department and interface with business units to drive real estate portfolio strategies.
  • Lead or support transitional efforts of towards outsourcing of clients current real estate staff
  • Participate in the marketing process for GCS accounts or projects, including proposal and presentation preparation, travel, and attendance at meetings with potential clients.
  • Coordinate with Principal in Charge/Account Leader and GCS Transition Services during transition phase, attending all calls and meetings and managing Account Team members responsible for each work stream.
  • Coordinate with Principal in Charge and GCS Transition Services in contract negotiations.
  • Act as the liaison between Newmark, client CRE and Business Unit leadership.
  • Oversight of all service lines pertaining to the account including, Transaction Management, Financial Analysis, Lease Administration, Facility Management, Project Management and Consulting.
  • Maintain corporate level reporting related to the portfolio, portfolio transactions and performance in meeting Key Performance Indicators.
  • Support annual budget development for real estate in cooperation with client CRE.
  • Coordinate all project processes, including requirement definition, financial and qualitative analysis and project justification and approval.
  • Coordinate with internal team members to prepare reports for and present Annual Strategic Review, Quarterly Business Reviews, and Weekly or Monthly real estate activity status updates.
  • May perform other duties as assigned
Skills, Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or advanced degree and experience in related discipline (Business, Finance, Real Estate, Architecture, Engineering or Law)
  • Minimum of 10 years corporate, commercial real estate, or related experience across global portfolios
  • Understanding of legal and financial aspects of a transaction process
  • Understanding of Facility Management practices and operations
  • Experience in global contracting and bidding processes as well as HR practices
  • Demonstrated client relationship management and team leadership experience
  • Strong written and oral communications and computer skills (analytical and report writing) necessary
